I translate word by word, by if you say it without stopping, then it should mean “My love will never go away”. I typed in the video like “Never My love will go away”. When learning Spanish how do you understand when they talk so fast like a lawnmower?

I really want to learn this language but I’m having a hard time. I know how to pronounce the words perfectly and I can even read the words and understand them when said one at a time; however, when someone starts talking Spanish to me in full sentences it just sounds like a huge big blur and I can’t understand nothing. It sounds like a lawnmower.

I already know how to speak an adequate amount of French, but I was wondering if a French speaker can get by learning Catalàn without the background of Spanish? I’ve studied the intertwining relationships of Romantic languages enough to be able to understand the structure and the gist of what Spanish speakers say. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
