Thank u, that was very helpful indeed.
What about Salma Hayek? Is her accent “neutral Mexican”?
Antonio Banderas is definetely Spanish. There was an article about him that he uses the Mexican seseo in films, but he speaks normal standard castellano de Madrid en su casa. ?Es verdad?

mexico is in fact, …
mexico is in fact, north america, and by that we dont mean any ethnical affiliation with the United States. What i think is that it is very selfish and arrogant to bear the name of a whole continent as if it was yours. Citemos las Doctrina Monroe…

Many spaniards …
Many spaniards still use the medieval spanish verbs and words like : teneis(tienes), llorad (llora), hablasteis(hablaste), sentaos(sientate), vosotros (ustedes), vuestro (tuyo o suyo). So, if you learn it in Spain, you can be confused by these words and verbs. They speak fast and it is hard to understand sometines, ask all the latinoamericans about the spaniards accent and you will see. But, anyway, wherever you want to learn it, it is the same language with some variations.

I advise you learn …
I advise you learn Spanish in México. It is very rich, has more synonymous and it is more universal than the spanish from Spain. It is more modern and evolving. It is well known in Latin america and Spain also, besides, most of the american movies and cartoons are translated into Spanish with neutral mexican Spanish accent for all Latinoamerican people.

Oh, I forgot to …
Oh, I forgot to mention, Spain was indeed singlehandedly responsible for destroying and reforming numerous societies, languages, and religions. It’s not really a racial overtone, it’s fact.
However, I’m using these facts to propagate messages of hate and intolerance. I guess I’m just a terribly misguided person, trying to eke my meager existence from an unforgiving society.
O Fortune, thou hast burdened thy servant with an insurmountable mountain, a veritable ocean of pain.

I didn’t really …
I didn’t really learn much in school history, which is, in fact, why I’m not affiliated with history in any way, other than studying advances in cell biology.
Central America begins at the southern isthmus of Mexico, so Mexico is indeed part of central America.
And, racial propaganda has nothing to do with my talking about Spain’s conquests. I find them funny. In fact, life is a huge joke to me. And, I love reaction, be it outrage, umbrage, disgust, hilarity, agreement, disagreement.

I’m always …
I’m always intrigued to find out how deeply the racial propaganda touted in school textbooks has affected people.
Fact: there is no subject in academia that bears a wider gap between what scholars collectively accept as truth and what is accepted by school textbooks than in history.
What you learned in school history was part of a program meant to make you to believe that the dominant race in this country is the superior race.
BTW, Guatemala & Belize start Cen. Am., not Mexico.

Who introduced syphilis and guns?
Mexico is in fact part of central America.
And the only reasons I can think that you’re continuing this conversation is either
A) you caught my rather blatant overtones of sarcasm or
B) you just really really like me =D

First you tried …
First you tried saying that Cortes and only 100 of his soldiers conquered Mexico. Now you’re getting soft by agreeing that it them, AND his Indian allies.
If it makes you sleep better at night, you can keep thinking that Castellano is not a language. I’m not going to keep going around this circle. You’re obviously missing a few screws, dude.
PS Mexico is not part of Central America, by the way. It’s part of North America. Learn your geography in addition to your history.

The point that I am …
The point that I am trying to make is that Cortes and his 100 spaniards were, in fact, the catalysts that destroyed the “advanced” central american indian tribes (not just the aztecs, but your history book will tell you that).
I will ask myself about castellano
“Hey man, is castellano a language?”
“No way dude, it just refers to citizens of Castile. Only hispanics and americans think Castellano is synonymous with Spanish.”
I asked a real Spaniard.
I agree, my singing is funny. Thank you =)

Sure I can. The …
Sure I can. The conquest were greatly exaggerated. Hernan Cortes’s army consisted of many allies that were Indians who did not like the Aztecs. Refer to a history book.
Castellano is a language. Ask any real Spaniard. If that’s funny to you, then so be it. I think your singing and face is funnier though.

moopastey : quw …

It’s actually …
It’s actually really funny because no Spaniard refers to Castellano as any kind of language. As I have said many times to many people, quoting from wikipedia makes one look like no more and no less than a crossbreed between an and a dirty minority.
Now, once more, opinions don’t count for much unless they’re backed by fact. Thus,
Fact: Despite Mexico’s “civilization”, Cortes and 100 Spaniards managed to kill over 10,000 of them.
Please explain this very slight discrepancy?
