I always learned …
I always learned barbilla or menton for chin (I’ve been to Chile, Peru, Mexico, and Honduras). It’s nice to know that “Pera” is also used but not as commonly as the other two.

Ejemplo:
Me gusta comer fruta.

Dear Hec2106,
Thanks for your comments, the video is not wrong, just that there are several words to refer to the same thing, but of course you can say “Barbilla” as well.
Thanks again,
Julio

I think the right …
I think the right translation for chin is BARBILLA . Another one, the middle finger, it´s right translation would be CORDIAL…. Again: CHIN = BARBILLA it sounds like (bar-bee-ya). Middle Finger =CORDIAL which sounds (chor-deal)
well thanks for reading… hope it helps to improve your spanish skills. greetings from Mexico.. and please correct the vid.

Even so try to learn 1 accent and not mix em all, otherwise u’ll sound kind of funny lol

The accent you can …
The accent you can hear in this presentation is Standard Latin American Spanish. However, it can be PERFECTLY understood by anyone anywhere. It is more of a myth than a reality that if you speak one variety people somewhere else will not understand you. Usually that is an excuse put forward by people with poor listening comprehension skills as an excuse, or by teachers who do not prepare students for the real world. Believe me, I come across situations like this all the time. Good luck!

Is this Mexican Spanish like in America? Or is this like Spain Spanish? Because I live in the US, and I wouldn’t want to learn the wrong Spanish and confuse people when I speak.

Yes, I totally agree with you. If you have the chance of traveling and living abroad, the best is to study and get a good basis in the language and then travel and profit from the absolute total immersion experience. Nothing beats that!

ya if u want to become fluent in a languge you should take classes for a while and then when you start to get good, go visit a country that speaks the language and stay there for a few months. That is what i am planning to do with spanish.
