I think it has to do with an accent or at least a familiarity of the dialect being used. The Spanish taught in the classroom greatly differs from the Spanish taught in homes. This is easily detected.

to answer you question? in spanish speaking country’s they use different words for different meanings that is not understood even if you speak spanish is a little complex wen I move from Spain to Mexico I had some problems with the Spanish. why? because some words that is completely educated to say in Spain is filthy language in Mexico so to fit in I had to learn to talk their Spanish

Depends if it’s regional words or words used by the local indian groups in their specific region that they incorporated into the spanish language.

i am a white cuban and cannot speak it fluently, mostly being i was raised an american, but not like those ghetto mexicans
