find Linda’s videos of ‘Canciones de Mi Padre’ She sings these ‘songs from my father’ better than most mexicans. Just stunning, emotional performances, and yes, her roots are mexican. I believe her family came from Senora, Mexico in the 1890′s.

Thanks. I heard she did this in Spanish. First time I saw this.
As for singing in Spanish. I do not speak Spanish, but IMHO she does the Spanish songs better than the English ones, and I think she sings the English ones GREAT. But in Spanish there is more emotion, more passion, more commitment.
Linda Ronstadt – my all time favorite.
